BRICS AI Tools

AI Powered Study Documents Cataloguing
(HHS access required)

The tool helps the user to sort a mixed batch of research documents, review and organize them. It does three main things:

  • It reviews uploaded study files;
  • It classifies each file into a document type such as study protocol, CRF, study form, study data dictionary, paper, or other;
  • For files identified as CRFs or study-created forms, it determines the form name, page range, and whether any pages are scanned.

Launch The Tool

AI Powered Study CRF Review
(HHS access required)

The tool provides information about research questionnaires:

  • It pulls together important facts like what a questionnaire measures and how reliable it is.
  • It can compare two questionnaires in a consistent way.
  • It is designed to keep the information accurate and linked to real references.
  • It creates a reviewable CSV output.

Launch The Tool

AI Powered Mapping Study CRFs to FITBIR Form Structures
(HHS access required)

The tool:

  • Takes a list of study provided case report forms (CRFs), instruments, scales, etc.
  • Matches each one to the closest FITBIR form structure,
  • And creates a reviewable CSV output.

Launch The Tool

AI Powered Extracting BRICS DEs from CRF Questions
(HHS access required)

The tool helps the user to:

  • Convert study forms and questionnaires into clean, standardized set(s) of skeleton BRICS data elements (DEs).
  • Map standardized skeleton BRICS data elements to existing FITBIR data elements when possible.

It also produces review-ready files that help researchers, data managers, and study teams use DEs more reliably.

Launch The Tool

AI Powered Review & Finalizing of Data Elements in BRICS Format
(HHS access required)

The tool helps turning user provided data elements into clean, complete, standardized, BRICS upload-ready CSVs. It takes user data element spreadsheets and:

  • Turns them into a BRICS format.
  • Adds any missing required columns and puts columns in the right order.
  • Checks whether each data element is defined clearly and consistently.

Launch The Tool

AI Powered RedCap to BRICS Formatting of Data Elements
(HHS access required)

The tool takes a REDCap study data dictionary and turns it into standardized BRICS data elements:

  • Cleans up question names, answer choices, so they are consistent with BRICS.
  • Creates a structured table of generated BRICS data elements for each form or instrument.
  • Matches those generated data elements to existing elements when possible.

Launch The Tool

AI Powered HealthMeasures Questionnaire Exports to BRICS
(HHS access required)

The tool converts raw HealthMeasures instrument exports into standardized, validation-ready BRICS data elemnts metadata files without altering the original source variable names
